Vivek has over 20 years of work experience in various senior roles across Technology, Internet and Consumer companies.
He is the Founder & CEO of Digicita, a Venture Builder focussing on innovations in the area of new age social platforms and marketplaces.
He is also on the Board of Anuvi Chemicals Limited, a leading manufacturer of specialty and construction chemicals.
Vivek dreams of reimagining and reconstructing the digital experience for greater collaboration and productivity.
He is best known for his industry first payment wallet innovation – ZipCash (now OlaMoney), among his many other entrepreneurial ventures and current investments. He imagined the future of payments well over a decade before it boomed in India. He successfully exited ZipCash in 2015.
Prior to ZipCash, Vivek has spent 6 years in various senior management roles at Microsoft such as Industry Manager – Retail, where he was responsible for formulating Microsoft’s entry strategy for the Retail vertical in India and the Global Accounts vertical, which consisted of some of Microsoft’s largest blue chip customers such as Citibank, Siemens, Unilever, Accenture amongst others. Prior to Microsoft, Vivek has worked with Wipro and leading advertising and media companies such as JWT and Mindshare.
Vivek has an MBA in Finance and Marketing from NMIMS and Welingkars and has done his B.Sc (Physics) from St. Xavier’s College Mumbai. In 2012, he went back to University to do his MA in Philosophy and is currently pursuing his MPhil in Buddhism from the University of Mumbai.
Vivek is an active participant of the startup ecosystem and is an angel investor and advisor to various startups.
