Amit Bapna is a marketing communication and content specialist having worked in the space for more than 20 years. He has worked in various industries and roles over the years that include stints with the various stakeholders of the content ecosystem: on the Agency side (with Ogilvy), Client side (HDFC Bank) & Publisher side (The Economic Times – Brand Equity) among others. For a large part of his career, he has been involved in spotting consumer trends across industries and crafting engaging content around them. Till August 2020, he worked with The Economic Times as Senior Assistant Editor specialising in writing on marketing, branding, advertising and media.
Since September 2020, he has taken up the mandate of Editor-at-large for APAC region for global publication The Drum (www.thedrum.com). The Drum is the biggest marketing website in Europe with an increasing footprint in the US and APAC markets. The brand is known for its signature editorial style and differentiated marketing-led content with a ‘solutions-approach’ to all marketing problems.
He hails from Jaipur, currently lives in Mumbai – and has become a world citizen post-Covid, like most of us. He has done his Bachelor’s in Science from St Stephens College, Delhi and MBA in Marketing from University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. Mr Bapna also takes sessions and workshops on storytelling for brands/companies.
